This cuts down soil erosion and nourishes the soil as it breaks down. In the spring I rake back the leaves to be used again as mulch during the year but the bottom layers will be tilled into the soil again.

I almost always use a T190 bobcat and a bucket with teeth.One point about using rental equipment, like I do; always have the equipment delivered the evening before your trees will arrive. Tell the rental company it has to be delivered the evening before. I personally like to go by the jobsite that evening and pull the key out so no teenagers will go for a joyride. I almost always request a T190 equivalent Bobcat.

Pine straw is often effective to keep azaleas weed free. Long lines of blooming azalea plants are often dramatic when plant underneath pine trees, when the azalea flowers being to display their expanding blooms. The shallow root system of azaleas require substantial watering during dry spells to insure plenty of azalea flowers, the spring season following summer droughts.
